Our office is currently closed to the public, but we are available Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by telephone (800-843-2655) or email (email@example.com) to answer any questions.
Student-led tours are suspended at this time, but our Virtual Tour provides another way to experience our beautiful campus. Take our Virtual Tour . . .
Although on-campus information sessions are currently not available, our virtual information session allows you to learn more about the College. Watch now . . .
On-campus interviews are currently suspended.
People don’t join the Hamilton community for just four years; they belong for a lifetime. For many students, membership in that enduring community begins with the personal interview. Because the admission committee works hard to ensure “fit” when determining admission decisions, personal interviews are strongly encouraged. An interview provides us with a sense of your personal strengths and interests that may not be obvious in an application. It also gives you a chance to ask questions and learn more about Hamilton in a personal setting. For more information take a look at our interview tips.
Personal interviews are conducted by admission officers or Hamilton seniors who are carefully selected and trained for this purpose. On-campus interviews are available as follows:
- Most weekdays: 9:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
To schedule an on-campus interview, please use our online registration form. Because our interviews are fully booked weeks in advance, try to schedule an interview well before your intended visit.
Applicants who are unable to visit campus for an interview, may request an off-campus interview with an alumni representative through their applicant portal. If we cannot locate an alumni volunteer in the area, a Skype interview will be assigned. Learn more about Off-Campus Interviews.
LUNCH WITH A STUDENT
Open to visiting students in the fall, the Admission Office offers the opportunity to be our guest for lunch in one of our dining halls, hosted by a Hamilton student. Our Lunch With a Student program is a great way to gain a valuable student perspective (as well as sample our food), in addition to what you will learn on a campus tour and/or information session.
Lunch With a Student will be available on select days in the spring. The lunches will take place between 1-2 p.m.
When classes are in session, prospective students who are visitors of the Admission Office are generally welcome to sit in on classes, but are encouraged to arrive five minutes before the class begins to introduce themselves to the professor and to make sure the content for that day is appropriate (not an exam day, etc.).
Hamilton College is able to provide a small number of travel stipends to prospective students whose family financial resources would not otherwise allow them to visit campus. Interested students should contact Martha Redmond at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hamilton’s 1,350-acre campus is situated on a hilltop overlooking the picturesque village of Clinton.
